Manchester completed their home games in fine style with a good performance against Rochdale.

The boys were divided into two groups, along the lines of the games to be played next week. The boys going on tour went with Dave and Nim, the boys going to Altrincham went with Rob and Neil.

The boys with Rob and Neil played well and did not go out into touch once in the two games. They tried to play good passing rugby and support each other across the pitch. In the first game, Ishy scored four tries in a 6-3 victory with Sergio and Kaya touching down as well. Oliver Bird was set to fly over the try line but was tagged before he jumped. In the second game, they lost 8-2 with Seb and Joe k scoring the tries. Sam was picked as man of the match for his good all round play.

The boys going on tour started off on fire, with great support play and the passing in the first game for their tries were fantastic. It was pleasing to see that all the boys scored at least one try with max and Ethan scoring two in a 10-7 win but the defence was not strong.

In the second game, the first half was even at 3-3 as the boys made a few mistakes and were not working together against a less experienced side. The second half was much better and the highlight was seeing Sam Young taking six tags by himself! Joel and William played well in running at the Rochdale defence and Oliver Pickering ran well in support to score three tries and took the man of the match award as we won 7 -3

Overall, the boys played well and Rochdale were complimentary of our running in support of each other and passing game.

Best of luck to both teams in representing the club next week!
