The Storm Academy continues to be one of the leading junior ice hockey clubs in the country, run entirely by volunteers, and has continued to see success through our approach of Improve-Compete-Enjoy. The Academy has also continued to grow in size and in the past two years this has seen us operate more teams than we ever have.
We are now looking for a number of new directors to join the Manchester Storm Academy board to assist with the governance and overall management of the club. This is to replace 3 Directors who have now completed their tenure in the role as part of a rotation process we have in place.
Ideally, we are looking for people with children in the club that have a mixture of skills including but not limited to experience in company administration, finance, legal matters, media and social media, or sport development? Even if you don’t have any of these specific skills, we also want people who have a passion to support and assist the club to develop and grow.
As part of the rotation of roles within the board a new chair will also be appointed following the appointment of the new directors, which will take place the week following the AGM in July.

This information will be shared amongst the Club’s membership prior to the AGM and people will be invited to vote for their preferred candidates. The results will be confirmed at the AGM.
