U16 girls on the road.

Well what a game.
We went to Whitley for our first game of this season and what a great day for girls hockey.
To support Whitley Alice was asked to play for them and we welcomed Ella to the team who played in net for us. Both goalies were kept busy all game and made some great saves.
The game was played for the girls and we matched ability as best we could. It is great to see another girls programme in the league and we went head to head.
The game flowed end to end, great defensive and offensive plays, great saves and great goals.
Game ended up 10-8 to Whitley who scored a few in the 3rd period and managed to take the lead.
Man of the match for MSA went to Ava who has joined us straight from hockey basics. She worked hard, battled well and had some great chances on net. Great work and she had the biggest smile on her face at the end of the game.
Scorelines are only a small part of the game. The energy, enthusiasm and working collaboratively to make sure the game went ahead is what today was about.
Congratulations to Whitley and we will be looking to reverse that scoreline in the next game.
