Subject: Update: UEFA Article 48 / streaming and/or broadcasting of matches

We have become aware of a growing amount of queries in relation to the traditional ‘blocked hours’ under UEFA’s Article 48 (for info: Article 48 .

Article 48 was ‘lifted’ during the restarted 2019-20 season in order to permit the streaming/broadcasting of matches between 14:45 – 17:15 on Saturday’s. This was owing to the inability of having spectators attending Premier League, EFL and National League Play Off matches.

Article 48 will be in place for the 2020-21 season but at this moment in time this remains lifted. Therefore, the streaming/broadcasting of matches between 14:45 – 17:15 on a Saturday is permitted until The FA informs Leagues otherwise.
