The Field conceded an early goal in the 7th minute after allowing Highworth too much space and Edward's strike was guided into the far corner. The Field could have equalised in the 12th minute but Wayne Nderemani was denied by the advancing keeper. The hosts had the opportunity to double the lead in the 15th,22 and 23rd minutes but were unable to convert their chances. The Field held out until half time to keep the score at 1-0. A much better performance from "The Field"in the 2nd half should have seen the equaliser in the 55th minute when the host keeper spilt the ball in his area but the Mangos were too slow to react. A free kick in the 76th minute gave the Field their best chance of the game but Dunstan's header was tipped over the bar. The host should really have put the game to bed in the 79th minute but pike saved well, but a handling error in the dying seconds of added time saw the Field concede a goal at the death.
