Mango's new manager Ray "Razor" Johnston has completed a question and answer session prior to new season

Q. Okay first up. Clubs played for?
A. Bristol Rovers, Bath City, Gloucester City. To be honest everyone locally with the exception of Mangotsfield barring 1 game under Thorney after I’d been retired for 6 years!!
Q. Clubs managed.
A. Portishead, Wells City, Odd Down and Hallen.
Q. Long term ambition for the club?
A. To do a good enough job for the committee to still want me to be there. Initially steadying the ship and then to play a brand of football supporters want to watch.
Q. Pet hates?
A. Manchester United fans arrogance and sense of entitlement. Also getting beaten by a team just because they tried harder than us.
Q. Most annoying opponent?
A. Tough one this as the ones I’ve had rivalries with I really look forward to playing and embrace it. That said I’d say Plymouth parkway but caveat that by adding that they’re a proper club and I respect their ambition.
Q. Favourite non league ground?
A. Ladysmead (Tiverton Town).
Q. Fixture most looking forward to?
A. Melksham Town away.
Q. Neville or Carragher?
A. Well I can’t go for Neville due to his Manchester United connections and Carragher’s voice annoys me so neither.
Q. Most embarrassing moment in football.
A. Playing for Bromley Heath under 12’s my voice went from Barry White to Joe Pasquale whilst berating the ref. Puberty was tough.
Q. Biggest regret in football?
A. Not signing for Everton as a YTS and staying with Rovers, seems so obvious now, ah well.
Q. Would you give a player a rollicking for diving?
A. No not a rollicking. The lad was trying to gain an advantage for his team, I’d educate him and say he should only go down if he feels contact was made.
Q. Club supported?
A. Leeds United.
Q. Boyhood hero?
A. David Mehew & Gary Kelly (Leeds United full back in the 90’s).
Q. Club or country?
A. Either I’ll take what ever I can get, supporting both (Leeds and England) has had its challenges in the last 20 years. I will say that Leeds success would get under the skin of a lot of people and that would amuse me.
Q. And finally describe yourself.
A. Overweight “has been” with a sense of humour that isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Love a Thatchers Gold and a takeaway but not as much as 3 points.
