A recent win in midweek, saw Slimbridge move into a play-off place and they were expected to give the Mangotsfield youngsters a difficult time. However, the Mangos rose to the occasion and were close to pulling off a shock result, but saw their hopes shattered by an injury time winner, and they are still searching for their first point of the campaign. The Swans are now in 3rd spot.

There was little between the sides in the opening stages but Slimbridge took a 20th minute lead through Jay Malshanskyj, and in the run up to half-time, chances for both sides were at a premium. Then in the 44th minute, Mangotsfield were level when Abe Noad headed the equaliser from a corner.

The hosts were re-energised from the start of the second half, with a renewed sense of urgency and dominated for a 20 minute spell, but could not find a goal to put them in front. The Swans clattered the crossbar from a corner and went in front through substitute Johan Flo in the 79th minute.

Mangos were level five minutes later through Wayne Nderemani, but with the hosts pushing for a winner, a swift counter-attack saw Danny King snatch a Slimbridge winner in the second minute of stoppage time. It was a cruel blow for the young Mangos.
