9 tries from Cart, Davey, Reynolds (2), Critchlow, Bennet, Abell and youngsters Garteth Hammond and Lee Joyce both grabbing their first in the 1st XV shirt. 5 conversions from the boot of Dan Joyce sealed copsewoods fate as the gap in the divisions was evident.
Struggling Copsewood, a league below Park, enjoyed a 5 minute excursion in to parks 22 early in the second half and only some determined defence and contolled disciplne ensured they were kept at bay.
However this was the only time the coventry side threatened and it was parks bullocking forwards who set the stage for the mauling with the backs pace too much to handle.
Fly half Dan Joyce and centre pairing of Davey and Reynolds ran the show for a second week. It was reynolds who scored first after wayward kick was well fielded and a counter lauched, the ball was moved wide quickly and Reynolds pace left the defence flounderng in his wake.
Cart was next to score after dummying the Copsewood backline and going in between the sticks. Minutes later he was unlucky to have his second disallowed adjudged to have been held up over the line.
Reynolds soon added his second before 18 year old Lee Joyce took his try well just before the Break.
A refocussed coventry came out fighting and clever kicking them afforded them some rare time in Manor Parks 22 but the attack was dealt with efficiently and park soon regained the upper hand.
Davey broke the line first in the second half soon followed by Critchlow whos support work was repayed when he latched onto a pass to score out wide.
Gareth Bennett having switched from full back to scrum half was creating havoc with the home sides defence and did not take long to add his name to list of scorers.
Next was Gaz Hammond who having started a counter well in Manors half supported and linked well with Bennett to take his 1st points
For the visitors now it was like shelling peas, copeswood's heads had dropped and the rout was inevitable. Unfortunately for Park just after the hour when replacement No 8 Abell crossed unopposed from a pick up at the base of the scrum the referee decided to spare the home side any more blushes and called time.
" I understand that as a contest it was over" said coach Bishop, "but we have a game of massive importance next week and we were denied the opportunity really finish a side"
"at half time i asked the lads to show no mercy and they were delivering but the match official saw it differently"
We were always the better side and lads really performed, but over the last couple of seasons we have lacked that killer instinct that we all recognise in the better sides. I was dissapointed at 1st but thanked the referee for an otherwise excellent game.
