Back in November’s reverse fixture, the south Warwickshire outfit proved a tough nut to crack as Park laboured to marginal victory.
And at half time at the Griff and Coton, it seemed history maybe repeating itself as the hosts lead 16-10.
Jordan Rice grabbed his first try for the club and Joe Graham’s 17th of the campaign were backed up by two Callum Bishop penalties.
Attacking up the slope, Park were unstoppable. Cameron Forryan romped to a hat-trick of tries and he was joined over the line by captain Chris Goode – his fourth try on six games.
Stephen Ballard got his second try for the club and debutant Thomas ‘Moose’ Reed scored for his new club.
Head coach Kevin Venus admitted the result was a ‘dream for a coach’ in his post-match comments.
He said: “We had discussed in training and pre match what we needed to put in place to achieve the result we wanted.
“Knowing how Alcester would play on the day we put in place a strategy to ensure the result we needed. We started as planned a great try to put Jordan Rice on the score sheet for the club set our tone for the day.
“The game was always going to be decided on the tempo and pace and we had control of both. Picking man of the match was possibly the most difficult decision after the match we lots of players giving their all for the 84 minutes of the game.
“Charlie Wilson, Dan Joyce, Stephen Ballard and Cam Forryan with his hat-trick were sublime all day. But the game was all about David Melville his hits, support, taking the ball on the floor and carrying the ball gave us a massive platform that Alcester could not deal with.
"The work rate overall was staggering, Wilson in particular an incredible shift.
“Alcester should be mentioned with respect in the fact that they gave us none. They kept coming all game making the rugby a great spectacle for anyone watching the game.
Tom Reed scored in his first game for the club the new father moved to us from Nuneaton Old Edwardians and looks to have fitted in a nicely.”
Park discovered their title rivals Upton-on-Severn suffered a shock defeat at Redditch, meaning the gap at the top is now 16 points with four games left.
It was also a good day for rugby in the town with both the Nuns and Nuneaton Old Edwardians winning their games over Lichfield and Spartans respectively.
Venus added: “It's good to see that all three teams in the town won this weekend with rugby coming under scrutiny this past week it's good that the town’s rugby appears to be seeing some light.
“We at Manor Park need to regroup and we have some serious work to do ahead of our final next week.
“There will be lots of pressure on our players to make the squad and no one player is guaranteed a slot. We will make that decision in training mid-week so make sure you are there!”
