Match Report

We started the first half very well making numerous chances in the first 15 mins, but as always we failed to take any( which is starting to annoy me).We were once again punished for this as on 20 mins they broke to take the lead against the run of play. The rest of the half was pretty even with both teams trying to play football rather than just pumping it forward.

HALF TIME – 1-0.
Again we started the better of the two teams but to my amazement woodham again broke to score their second goal, leaving us a mountain to climb. I put raj and rups on for kieron and owen, We kept up our passing game and were camped in their half for the remainder of the game ,as time ticked by their keeper seemed to be able to get in the way of everything we threw at him, until 5 mins from time after another scramble in the penalty area the ball broke to adam who side footed in home. We never gave up as we knew we deserved something from the game then with the last kick of the game adam headed on a cross from rob and with the ball heading in rups popped up to make sure and force the ball home to take it to extra time.

FULL TIME -2-2.

Extra time was made up with us peppering their goal but with no reward again, phil kept us in it when their only chance was well saved with his legs. No one could make the breakthrough so it was on to penaltys.
PEN 1, lee scored, phil saved theirs, PEN 2, kieron scored, they scored, PEN 3, pipesy missed, they scored, PEN 4, rob scored, they scored, PEN 5, adam scored, phil saved theirs,
So we went through 4-3, and on balance of play we deserved it.

A big pat on the back for the lads as they did not give up even when it seemed beyond us, Well done boys.
