James & Mike left MDTFC in October 2017 following the then shock of Martyn Davies's dismissal, and both have subsequently played for Chasetown & Oswestry Town.

Mike and James will bring great experience to our very young squad of players, which has perhaps been lacking in recent performances; indeed we do have a team of very talented players that need a calming influence.

James normally plays in the centre of defence, but is equally at home anywhere in defence or in midfield.

Although primarily used by MDTFC & Chasetown as an attacking left back, Mike has shown his versatility when playing as an attacking midfielder for Oswestry Town where earlier this season he scored 10 goals in 14 games, before rejoining Chasetown in November 2019.

Manager Dan Stevens and Chairman Mick Murphy are well chuffed that James & Mike have agreed to join us at this critical stage of the season.

The added bonus will see father Kelvin back at Greenfields; his knowledge of the Non-League & local football scene is second to none.
