After the 'long lockdown layoff' it was back to running rugby for junior teams at Market Harborough Rugby Club

More than 12 months since their last game, MHRUFC U13s and U11s Girls Teams played their first game against Kettering. Twenty players took to the pitch, with 4 new girls having started playing at the club in the last month. Any girls in years 5 and above would be welcomed and can contact Stuart Beard through the club website.

Mini Junior Chair, Mike Fletcher, commented "After well over a year, it was fantastic to see competitive games again taking place, with our junior girls teams playing host at home whilst the junior boys visited other grounds. These kids have endured the enforced Covid isolation and had their lives disrupted, missing out on more experiences than many adults, so to see them with their mates as a team playing other groups of kids with their mates in their teams was a very welcome sight indeed.
We look forward to a few more games in May and hope for a more normal season restarting in September"
