Injuries and player unavailability are loosening Harborough's grip at the top of the league table. Tough conditions and a resilient home team were more than a match for the men from South Leicestershire.
Two tries in the first half from Ethan Godefroy and Jack Williams saw a 10-10 half time score.
However, with little line out ball and coming second best in the forward exchanges it was a difficult second half. Harry Hollis scored Harborough's only try of the second half. Jack Johnston's length of the pitch run ended feet short of the Syston try line.
As hopefully Harborough can regain their composure and hope the weather improves in the next few weeks.
