Harborough Hush Hinckley

Harborough 2nds have had their fair share of bad luck with poor weather and postponed matches, but the wheels were firmly back on the wagon today.

Harborough dominated the set piece with both line-out and scrum functioning well. This created a solid platform for their slick handling and fleet of foot backs. It was the solid power of Aaron Lyle which got Harborough's try scoring off to a fine start.

The majority of the first half saw Harborough camp in Hinckley's 22, but resolute defence and missed opportunities saw little reward for the visitors. Finally the pressure told and two quick tries from Charlie Standley (pictured above) and Rob Brownlee saw Harborough establish a 15-0 half time lead.

Fergus Clarke got the second half off to a flying start with an early try, which Harris Medwell converted. However, just as Harborough thought the game was under control, Hinckley struck back with three tries to cause doubt in Harborough minds.

Harborough forcing the ball wide struck with a second try from Charlie Standley and when Paul Wilson scored with a few minutes of the game remaining, Harborough had secured a vital win.

Should Harborough be victorious next week, at home against Market Bosworth, they will be crowned league winners.
