There was a high energy start which overpowered the Lions team – storming runs from Morris and Charlesworth. Three tries were scored in the first half, two from strong running Tapper after sizzling breaks from Smith and Bale plus one from Medwell after a deft chip and chase. 24 – 7 at half time was a fair reflection of the dominance of the team. Lions gathered themselves and put in a more robust display in the second half but Harborough created more chances but only managed to score one more try after a stunning break from Medwell, strong run from Tapper and speedy touch down from Smith on the wing. Final score 29 – 14 demonstrated that Harborough would be much higher up the league if they could keep the strong squad together.
Great festive cheer afterwards and completed their second win of the day against the Colts at the Christmas party!
