Harborough Colts continued their winning form although they need to learn to stay switched on throughout the game. For the first 10 minutes their rugby was poor and this allowed Casuals to take an 8 point lead through a penalty and an unconverted try. Harborough then woke up started to dominate play and looked dangerous in attack. This led to three tries before half-time through Jack Williams, Jonny Totten and Jon Mundy and a conversion by Jake Noble gave them a 17-8 half time lead. At the start of the second half their play was disorganised allowing Casuals to score another soft try. But a penalty by Connor Bond was followed by a well-deserved try from the excellent Iain Barnett and the lead was stretched further with a second try for Mundy and one for Noble, all converted by Noble. In between Casuals had scored a third try but Harborough now had a commanding 41- 18 lead with less than 10 minutes remaining. Sadly they once again switched off and allowed Casuals to score 2 soft tries to bring the final score to 41-30 which somewhat flattered the home side and meant that there is still work to be done to turn Harborough Colts into the team they aspire to be.
