Harborough Colts knew that visiting Nuneaton would be a strong test and so it proved on a windy afternoon. Playing with the wind advantage Nuneaton started strongly but as Harborough settled they looked more likely to score making made repeated visits to their opponents 22. Simple mistakes cost them a score until the impressive Alex Haynes, making his first start of the season, received the ball in space and proved far too quick for the Nuneaton defence to touch down for a try converted by Jake Noble. Noble added a penalty to secure a 10-0 lead but a win was by no means certain as Harborough rang the changes with substitutions. Things then went downhill as George Thornton was yellow-carded for questioning a decision and as he was about to return a second player received a card for pulling back a defender. Harborough had however upped their game and were excellent in defence despite being a man down. Thornton then made amends when he stormed over under the posts from a short penalty and with Noble converting this gave Harborough a well deserved and comfortable 17-0 victory.
