Harborough Colts visited Leicester Forest for a hastily arranged fixture to play an end of season game that introduced a number of U16 players who will be playing Colts rugby next season. Forest fielded a very young side and the game was arranged to ensure there was no clash of ages. Harborough were rocked back at the start as Forest took the game to them eventually scoring a converted try to lead 7-0. Harborough then struck back through Timmy Waterfield with the conversion by Laurence Joel. They added a second try through the impressive Joe Margetts again converted by Joel but Forest struck back with a try to make it 12-14 before Jake Noble rounded off a fine move to score under the post adding the conversion himself to bring the half-time score to 12-21 in Harborough’s favour. The second half saw a much more dominant Harborough and although Forest added another converted try, Harborough ran in 5 of their own through Iain Barnett, George Thornton, Jack Williams, James Coomber and U16, Alex Adams who made an impressive debut. Barnett added 3 conversions and Connor Bond 1 to bring victory for Harborough 54-19.
