10 players made the journey south from Coalville so the. Meteors loaned them some of their own for two good games of rugby played in the right spirit.
The first game was all Harborough, with Tom Kemp (2) and George Boucher each scoring tries before half time. In the second half TK ignored the option of his hatrick and even though he had already crossed the line passed to Billy Stamp-Ellam to score. Billy then added his own second following a fine individual run for a 5:0 win
In the second game, Stamp-Ellam, Max Vesty and George Hallam donned Coalville shirts and it was Hallam who opened the scoring for Coalville. The visitors had a couple of girls in their squad and the tall 'Olivia' showed great pace down the left wing to double their lead.
Kemp and Henry Joule then combined for Joule to pull one back and Harborough then levelled.
Olivia restored Coalville's lead before Matthew Humphrey's fine run and score made it 3:3.
The plucky visitors (plus guests) were undone however by Joule who added his second to steal the win.
It was a great morning of rugby and the willingness of the Harborough lads to play for their opponents in order to make a game of it was to be applauded, as well as the way the visitors coped with their much smaller squad. Well done all.
