In the first game Harborough got off to a great start despite losing the toss with George Williams pouncing on a loose ball and setting up the first try scored by Arthur Adams. In a game that flowed backwards and forwards Harborough survived a late rally from Melton to win the game 7-6 with hat tricks from Adams and Grant with Williams scoring a single try.
In the second game Harborough got off to a terrible start, finding themselves 3-0 down in no time, however following a half time talking to recovered to edge the game 5-4. Isaac Bee led the way with a great try saving tackle before tries by Beaufoy, Adams, Williams and Glover sealed the win.
In the final game Harborough again started poorly going 3-0 down and despite then matching the Melton scores try for try couldn’t close the gap and they lost 7-4. The try scorers were Adams, Williams and Glover.
Special mention to George Williams who despite picking up 3 separate injuries in the 3 games bravely carried on until the end.
Overall there were many positives to take from the performance along with things to work on in the coming weeks as the whole squad continues its development.
