MH win all 3 of their matches

Match Report 16 November 2014
Three out of Three aint bad!!
Market Harborough Rugby Clubs U15s ladies travelled to Old Northamptonions RUFC for the third round of the U15s ladies Regional Cup Tournament.
Having already played six games winning five and losing just one MH were looking for consistency and looking to build on their impressive form in the first two rounds of the tournament.
Despite a couple of players not turning up MH were able to field 12 players and were drawn first against local rivals Lutterworth.
After a lack lustre start for MH, the girls eventually started to find some form and began to overpower the much improved Lutterworth team. MH scored tries through Phoebe Andrews, Tabitha Copson, Alice Liles and Sabine Brewster, conversion by Tabitha Copson. Final score 22-0

The next game V Old Northamptonions (MH’s Nemesis) would be a very different story. The Harborough girls were a different team starting full of energy and dynamism, it wasn’t long before the ON’s defence began to falter . Quick tries by Cassie Holyoak, Phoebe Andrews and Georgina Watson, conversion by Tabitha Copson ensured that MH reached the break in style. The basic errors and inability to apply pressure in the first game had gone, and the fast, direct offloading game with which the MH team has become known for became apparent.
Shortly after the break MH were on the attack again with a try from Sabine Brewster. Georgina Watson finished off a great team effort with her second of the game. A good all round team performance. 27-0

MH third game of the afternoon was against a combined team from Wellingborough/Peterborough and Olney.
The Harborough girls started off a little slowly but kept to the basics and slowly over powered the WPO side.
Scores before half time for Alice Liles and , Georgina Watson 2 ensured MH were on target for another clean sweep of victories. Not to be out done two further tries from Tabitha Copson and Catriona Deeley capped off a great day for MH U15s Ladies. Final score 25-0

MH strives to develop their players in doing so a number of players were playing out of their normal positions and did so with great results helping secure not only three great victories but a clean sheet in defence.

Harborough girls have now played 9 wining 8 and losing just once.

Outstanding performance by all.

MH Ladies have U18s, U15s, U13s and O2 Ladies Touch teams.
