A small army of volunteers consisting of 1871 members and our favourite first team front row player, Meki, descended onto the Common the other week in weather conditions which can only be described as appalling, to put the pitch side safety barriers back up. As part of our agreement with Marlborough Town Council, these barriers have to come down at the end of the season but with the new season just around the corner, it was time to get them out of storage.
Many thanks to those who braved the elements, I am sure if you speak to the Chairman, he might reward you with a pint if you are very lucky.
