Game 26/6/21

A bit late, but better late than never!
Firstly, we say goodbye to one of our players - Jen from Marshalls Black played her last game for the club on Saturday ?
After being with the club for many year now, Jen announced in April that she would be moving away (to Scotland). Over her time at the club she has worked with many younger members, taking them under her wing.
Jen is always encouraging, positive and supportive. She will be greatly missed by everyone at the club, but especially her team.
Stay in touch and keep playing.
Let's try and make you all smile now! ?
Team of the week goes to Yellows and Whites.
Yellows got there first win of the season. Well deserved too. A shuffle round of positions for injuries, but a solid team effort. Defence worked hard to close down space and limit options. Mid court, led by Lucy, gain numerous interceptions. Great shooting too saw Marshalls take a 36 - 33 win.???
Whites gained a precious win. Another solid team performance saw Marshalls closing down space, limiting options and pressuring every pass. Mid court linked well between both ends of the court. Great shooting saw Marshalls take the win 34 - 24.?
Purples played another great game against Romford. Pushing in each quarter they stretched the score out. With defensive interceptions from Lesley Peek and Carolyn Kazali the opposition attack found it hard to work the ball in. Mid court and attack linked well and took the win, 44 - 25.?
Reds showed a great team display to work together to build a solid score and push the gap opened each quarter. Turn overs at crucial moments, and calm heads meant that Marshalls run out 38 - 30 winners.???
Blacks had so many players missing but they never gave up. They kept pushing for interceptions and turn overs. But it just wasn't to be. 21 - 44
Golds were so close, but again with players missing they kept calm and kept chasing down the score. A crucial turn over by the opposition saw them take the win 29 - 25. Unlucky girls.
Pinks had a superb game and showed another great team performance. Mid-court rotation saw fresh legs each quarter. But they all continued to link well with both ends of the court. 38 - 28 win.???
U13s had a great win. Great defence picking off interceptions, mid-court showing there dodging skills and the shooter netting the goals. 30 - 8 win.?
U12s tough game but you kept going never giving up. very proud of you all. 2 - 10
