We are pleased to announce that on September 14th, Mark Wilkins received the OFA Groundsman of the Year at the annual OFA Awards. Mark was shortlisted last season after being nominated and was up against some stiff opposition from Chinnor FC, but to both his and the clubs delight he won the honour for the 2017/18 season.
"I wasn't the only one responsible for maintaining the pitches last season as Martin Woodward also looked after the pitches with me" said Mark, he added "we (the club) have also joined the OFA's Pitch Improvement Programme, so that the pitches get the correct maintenance and treatment for future seasons"
A number of regular spectators at the club had mentioned throughout the season, how good the pitches were looking again, Mark continues in the role again this season and with the dry summer certainly has his work cut out. The club will continue to support Mark in his role as groundsman, so that all the pitches are the best that they can be for this and future seasons.
