Crewkerne RFC made a trip down to the Martock Recreation Ground on 26th August last week to give the training session a real kick of life; allowing both teams to practice their skills and set play. 80 minutes was played in a conditioned game, with Crewkerne RFC and Martock RFC both having a 20 minute quarter of possession, before playing the last 40 minutes as a free-for-all.
This game was to be the last pre-season fixture before the start of the season against Bridgwater and Albion on Friday 4th September under floodlights. Head Coach John Hole commented on this by saying that " I am pleased with the players performance over the last couple of months, and I am excited to see what the season will bring us. It is also good to see some competition within the squad, and the formation of a 2nd XV which has not competed since 8 years ago."
