On Saturday 23rd March 2024, 12.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. At Flitwick Leisure Centre we hosted Bocas Seniors WFC, Leighton Buzzard WFC, Luton Town WFC and MK Irish WFC for our second Mini Tournament of this year.

Maulden put out two teams. Orange and also Black. The teams were:

Orange: James Gallagher (GK), Liam Higgs, Nick White, Mark Russ, Lance Crawley, Paul Slade, Daniel Reeve, Daniel Doolan.

Black: Brett Wheeler (GK), Aaron White, John Wall, Graham Cole, Peter Coules, Mark Rowe, Chris Wheeler.

Referees: Colin Cook and Mark Smith.

A scarcity of goals in this tournament compared our February Mini Tournament with the majority of matches being tightly contested. The goals were evenly shared between Maulden Black and Maulden White teams with Nick White top scorer with just 2,

Luton Town WFC and MK Irish shared top spot with the former edging it on most goals scored.

Maulden Blacks and Maulden Whites were fourth and fifth in a six team league. However, this was a Mini Tournament of fine margins, particularly with the Blacks drawing 3 of 5 matches.
