2011 - Arun Bains & Darren Lockyear lead Australia on to the Pitch at Wembley

International Rugby League returned to Wembley for the first time in 13 years with the Gillette 4 Nations Double Header Wales v New Zealand and England v Australia. Each of Medway Dragons RLFC's 11 teams was represented as over 200 travelled to witness a great occasion.

10 of our Mini RL players had the incredible opportunity to be a mascot for both games, something they will remember for the rest of their lives. Our youngest representative, Arun Bains, led out Australia, side by side with Darren Lockyear, the most capped player, scorer of the most international tries and arguably the greatest player of all time.

Dragons Head Coach Martin Coyd observed 'There was a great turnout from the London RL Clubs and friendships were renewed all over Wembley Way and inside the Stadium. It is very obvious that we are a part of a burgeoning Rugby League community in London & the South and we are in a great place to enjoy something very special. We were amongst thousands of friends, loving every minute'.

Dragons Vice President Brian McDermott led the fundraising activities for Wheelchair Rugby League at half time. You can help by texting the code WTAG01 to 70070 and then choosing how much to donate.
