Firstly, I want to say a very big well done to everyone who played, coached and supported on the day - you have been with us throughout the season and it was fitting that we lined up together and took our place in the final.

And so to the game....
I think we can all look back and say we just weren't on our 'A' game - perhaps we peaked too early in the semi-finals, perhaps we took the pitch expecting to lose - whatever the reasons, we just didn't perform on the day.

Having said that - what a great season!
It all started with a plate win and final place in the cup at the 9's. We then followed that with some exceptional Rugby throughout the season to take us to the Challenge Cup final and the season playoff final. By anyone's standard (except perhaps our own?), a truly great season.

There have been some real highlights this year, including the two big games against Richmond and the semi-final against Elmbridge. We've had some real fun along the way; I have enjoyed coaching you guys - you all play with a smile and a willingness to improve that most teams would die for.

Of course, it's not all over yet - I'm really looking forward to having a great day out on the 10th, when we travel to Colchester all together on the coach and play a few last great games - more details to follow.

So, thanks to all the lads who played a vital part in a truly great season. Thanks to Robbie, Barry, Ray, Peter and Jay for making it run so smooth and a special thanks to Roy for doing all the really hard work that no-one really gets to see. A final thanks from all of us to the parents for doing the driving, washing the kit and encouraging and supporting the lads to be the best they could be.
