Melbourne 97-7, Stockton & Hopgrove 98-4. Stockton win by 6 wickets

A 9 man Melbourne travelled to Stockton for the 3rd time this season having already played them in the Vale League and the Hph cup - the results standing at 1-1. However Melbourne got off to a terrible start as 15 year old bowler Tom Warrington destroyed the top order with James Coupland dismissed to a splendid catch by Adam Kerrison, Tim Blackmore [9], Harry Collins, Si Houlder and Oliver Steels [16]all bowled, Warrington posting figures of 5 for 31 to put Melbourne on a concerning 37-5. Fortunately for Melbourne Scott Coupland and Alex Barlow were in form and the two doubled the score before Barlow was caught by Jamie Kerrison off the bowling of Williams after making 18. Williams also took the wicket of Robin Miller thanks to a catch by Dan Fairclough. Scott Coupland finished off the 20 overs on an excellent 33* to take Melbourne to a respectable 97-7
In reply Stockton lost the early wicket of Warrington who was run out by Scott Coupland in the 3rd over, however Rich Kerrison and Matt Bradshaw found the gaps and the board was on 39 when Kerrison was caught by Nick Eastoe off the bowling of Harry Collins after making 28. Bradshaw [11] was bowled by Collins in the 9th over and P Leatham [2] was bowled by Alex Barlow in the 10th over but Jamie Kerrison was in form and with Steve Fraser the two made light work of finding the required runs - victory came for Stockton in the 17th over. Kerrison finishing on 32* and Fraser on 118
Melbourne bowling: H Collins 4-0-19-2, A Barlow 3-0-11-1
