Mellish under 9s travelled away to the new Chesterfield Panthers ground. It was a horrible, wet, windy and generally grim morning for a game but as the boys have already missed so much game time already thanks to the snow they were still raring to go!

The game started well with good team work both defensively and in attack.

The boys and girls of Chesterfield also played well and a good game of rugby was enjoyed by all and eventually won by several team tries from the Mellish boys.

Well done to all the team and their parents for excellent support and staying power pitch side in the driving rain.

It looks like the boys are putting into practice the moves learnt alongside the Nottingham RFC players last week.
