Hard fought victory against a strong outfit

Individually & collectively ALL the boys went out onto the field and kept to the plan! (what plan I hear you ask?)
In our first match on a full size pitch I was nervous....and I wasn't even playing!
Anthony & Milo kept their discipline in the line from their wing positions, ensuring the back line communicated.
Andrew & Billy & the Shaq played their first games in 10 & 12 & 13; you wouldn't have known.
Interplay between Adam and the rest of the back line showed what a promising season this could be.
The "pack" (Elliott, Jack, Henry, Joe (debutant), Frankie, Aiden, Usman, William & Charlie)hustled the opposition non stop, breaking down play, winning their own Scrums & Lineouts, to ensure we went over the gain line at every opportunity.

Dan's (a safe pair of hands)kicking accuracy continually put the opposition under pressure whenever he had the opportunity.
Our decision making around when to kick was very mature today.
Difficult conversions today (position of kick) but at least as a TEAM Dan was given those opportunities on 5 occasions.

WELL DONE TO EACH & EVERY ONE OF YOU.

Scoreline as it happened

Paviors 24 - 27 Mellish Charlie

It is a massive learning curve for all under 13 players this year. However, for their first game the boys showed passion for the shirt, with an enterprise to play good solid & expansive rugby against strong opposition.

We have an excellent platform to build on & take into our next game vs. Mansfield next week.

Based on the overall display Craig & I decided this wasn't a time to single players out for special praise; the ETHOS is "TEAM", because we will only grow & improve if we work as a team.
I SCORE, WE SCORE the TEAM SCORES.

Thank you to Dominic & Tom (both injured)who came to give their support....the essence of TEAM mentality!

See you on Wednesday for the next part of the journey!
