Steely win in the final against Cheadle as the boys top off a great season in style

The culmination of the season, this 8 aside event has always been kind to us in the past - it suits our style of play and our desire to shift the ball and create chances.

3 wins and a loss to Cheadle saw us into the semi finals where we faced the ever strong Stockport. With a few injuries, the pendulum swung our way as we ran our 4 - 1 winners to face Cheadle in the final.

Hot of the heels of their Flags Finals win and their victory in the Box Lacrosse Tournament we knew this would be tough. But the boys dug deep, every one of them as we ground out a 2 - 1 win with a dramatic late crease dive winner.

All 10 of the boys played their part today and we should remember that the core of this team stays together next season. Ned was superb in goal today and supported by a more physical defence on Alex, Joey and Will. Toby, the Beast!, did everything that was asked of him to enable George, Ollie and Jamie the space to create and our front line of Josh and Jack finished their chances nicely when they came along.

Today, the boys did exactly what was asked of them and got exactly what they deserved. Massive hats off to Rick for his superb coaching and also to Elliot Condron, Josh SP and Josh Poke for assisting - a tremendous way to finish a tremendous year!
