A promising performance for the future season.

From the first quarter Mellor worked very hard and managed to keep Timperley from running away with the game and an excellent goal from Matt Watson ended the quarter 2-1.
Quarter 2 : Isaac Young made a good save to keep Timperley at bay for a while but some very good passing allowed Timperley to score 2 more to end the 2nd quarter 4-1, which showed that our defence and midfield were working at a terrific rate to keep them out.
Quarter 3 : Mellor managed to pull 1 back with a goal from Josh Benson but Timperley caught us on the break too many times to end the quarter 8-2.
Quarter 4 : Timperley scored a further 2 but Mellor did not give up the fight and with an excellent goal from Dan Jones the game finished 10-3.

How Louis manages to run through the midfield with a long stick amazes me but if he keeps it up he might end up on the score sheet. Other than when Timperley broke and scored a number of goals this way, we out played them in many ways but with no regular keeper It is difficult. Josh Poke, Josh Haining and Dan Jones made a fantastic contribution showing no fear of stepping up to under 14's. Some training from Dan Watson paid off with Alex Hewetson taking and winning some excellent face off. Considering we have played 2 of the hardest games in the league we look like we are improving in skill and determination. Onwards and upwards a win is soon to come.
