U14s maintain their 100% season record

The fourth game of the season and our first game back from our magnificent win in Frankfurt. The European U14’s Champions take on Brooklands at home.
A bleak start to the day and with Brooklands a few players short, the game begins with 3 Mellor boys in Brooklands Jerseys.
Mellor start well with Jack Latham taking face off and our first goal comes quickly after George feeds Jack R and the boys are off.
Brooklands reply with a goal before Mellor strike again with Jack R getting his second. The quarter ends with Mellor 5 Brooklands 3
With Toby, Jamie and Sam helping to keep Brooklands hopes alive, not even their excellent efforts on behalf of the opposition could keep the Mellor boys from getting 5 further goals in the second quarter. Brooklands only managed 1, with an excellent run from their number 3. The half time score stood at Mellor 10 - Brooklands 4
The third quarter saw Will, Ellis and George wearing the Brooklands colours. However further goals from Josh, a banger from Jamie and a goal from Jake saw Mellor pulling further way. Fredrick will be sporting a huge bruise as he goes on holiday, following one of George’s supersonic shots that Fredrick managed to save with his unpadded arm, ouch!
The final quarter proved more challenging for Mellor as their number 3 scored again, our own Ellis Booy also scored for Brooklands and they managed to put a further 4 goals on the scoresheet by the end of the game.
The result was a great friendly game with great sportsmanship on both sides. Good to see Miles get his first goal of the season. Jack L also got his first but unfortunately it was disallowed.
