A tough morning against a strong squad

Facing arguably the strongest squad at this level with many physical mismataches on the pitch this was always going to be a tough ask. Even harder when with 2 absent we lost our main physical presence in midfield to an early injury to leave us playing almost 3/4s with no subs compared to their 4.

For large periods we did our best to compete against some very strong individual players and in 3 of the qtrs we did ok losing 1-3, 1-3 and 1-2. It was just a complete collapse in defence in the 3rd which we lost 9-2 that made the margin of defeat more than it should have been.

We've had a tough run of fixtures of late and at times have been the master of our own downfall with some very sloppy play and periods when we just switch off in defence but for the most part the boys have kept on going, maintaining discipline and played periods of good lacrosse against physically stronger teams who have completed dominated the face and posession (1 clean win again today). Hopefully we'll come out of this tough period stronger and improve over the remaining 2 months.

Goals: Drew (3), Ashley and Matt. Will 10 saves plus.
