Another win for Mellor U13 Girls!

We started off well, with the girls managing to get four goals up. An absent period followed where Mellor girls took their eye of the ball and allowed Norbury to dominate the play, catch up and equalise. It was tense on the side lines. A good talking to by Coach Alex E sorted this. Despite Norbury being a tough opponent, Mellor girls picked up the pace once more, fought harder for the ground balls and regained their lead. Dramatic falls and tumbles didn't put the Mellor girls off: picking themselves up they raced straight back into the play. Final Score: 14-7 to Mellor with Mellor U13 girls remaining unbeaten so far this season.

Goals scored: Annabel N (5), Eve B (4), Katie H (3), Leia Y (1) - plus an unfortunate own goal from Norbury. Consistent defence with LOTS of turnovers from Lucy M and some great saves from Lara C definitely saved Mellor and ensured they maintained their lead. Great play everyone!
