U15 Girls lose to Cheadle

Mellor U15 girls were beaten by a solid Cheadle team today. This was a tough match for Mellor but despite being behind throughout, the girls stuck with it, worked hard and demonstrated some good play. Cheadle fielded an older and well-focused team against Mellor, almost half of whom were our younger/U13 girls.
Mellor scored 2 goals in the 2nd quarter and a 3rd in the 3rd quarter (well done to Martha, Alice W and Ruby). 11 of Cheadle's goals were scored in the first half.
Mellor's Goalkeeper, Liv, made an astonishing 14 saves, and Player of the Match goes to Martha whose play was consistent and indefatigable.
Mellor U15 girls are sure to bounce back from this result and continue to learn from their excellent coach, Lydia.
