£1,000 raised in Cup final charity matches

The money raised is to be split 50/50 between St Gemma’s Hospice (Leeds) and the HRSA Clubhouse Project.

Menston JFC would like to thank St Mary’s for letting out the facilities free and Ralph Sissons for donating back his £45 winnings from the first goal minutes.
Fun was had by over 30 coaches and parents at 2 staged charity games held before the F A Cup Final and Champions League Finals.
Menston Junior Football club Charity match is held annually and is a focal point in the local community on F. A. Cup day.
This year’s Charity(s) are St Gemma’s Hospice in Leeds and the High Royds Sports Association (HRSA) which is a Sporting and social organisation serving the local community, they are in the process of fundraising to build a sporting pavilion in the heart of the High Royds estate on Bradford Road in Menston, the brand new facility will serve as a clubhouse and social space for Menston Juniors, Guiseley Juniors, Crompark Cricket, The High Royds Sports & Social Club,
The High Royds Residents Association amongst others and will be a much needed shared community hub by all stakeholders who have collectively been working in partnership for countless years to deliver this project.
To date funding has been granted or pledged from the Football Foundation, Avant homes LTD, England & Wales Cricket board and Leeds City Council, there is much more to do and you will no doubt see MJFC & other HRSA members out and about in the coming months promoting and fundraising so please spread the word and help whereyou can.
