We have seen a rising number of incidents where people are entering the ATP at St Mary’s School without permission and are therefore trespassing.

As these are School premises this is a criminal offence. Intruders are accessing the ATP by climbing the fences. On Monday this escalated to the Police being called as two separate groups of youths refused to leave the ATP. None of the youths were connected to MJFC. As a club we have worked extremely hard to persuade the School to re-open the facility and reoccurring incidents like these will severely challenge the School’s decision. A number of other grassroots teams in the area who use facilities connected to School’s have not been allowed back on their sites. We are in a really privileged position. The only time a player from the MJFC should be on the ATP is to attend an MJFC organised training session and/or a game. If an MJFC player is seen trespassing on the ATP they will be automatically suspended by the club for a period of 4 weeks and will not be permitted to train and or take part in any game, whether the game is home or away. During that time their registration with the league will also be suspended. The ATP is integral to the success of our club which benefits so many children in the area and as such we must protect it. Other St Mary’s partners will be sending the same message to their members.

Kind Regards,
Andrew Dillon

Menson JFC Chairman
