“I’ve always been a big believer in preseason and it setting the tone for what’s to come. A big part of that is having the right friendlies in place; my first year with Metrogas will be no different. As a management team we’re very clear on what we want on and off the pitch, so these friendlies will allow us to really hone the football side of things, see some of the great youngsters that this club has, challenge ourselves against excellent and varied opposition, and just steadily increase our fitness ready for the start of what will be a massive season. A big thank you to the teams who we’ll face before the season starts, I’ve been lucky to get in some favours from friends at Chatham, Lewisham and Sutton, and our chairman Tim has also utilised his contacts so that we have a packed preseason, which is exactly what I was looking for - to say I’m beyond excited is an understatement, I just can’t wait to get the ball rolling now...”
