Firstly a big thank you to everyone who contributed to our Crowdfunding appeal.
Not unreasonably you may be wondering what has happened in respect of the allocation of rewards associated to the various levels of giving.
The major problem has been in assessing what may be possible. Most of the rewards to be allocated involve tickets for a game with various levels of hospitality associated. The Covid situation has made it impossible for us to actually fulfil any of these allocations due to the restrictions which apply to both the ‘Directors’ seating and the number of persons allowed in the board room.
Despite best efforts we have not been able to find a satisfactory solution to the problem. Once account has been taken of the number of directors and club officials in attendance from visiting teams the availability for further hospitality is non-existent.
We are, of course, now in lock down with the next home game due to be held on 5th December – that’s if the restrictions on our level of football are relaxed.
We will do our best to meet the needs of the winners of the rewards as we go forward but not until we feel we can make the occasion worthwhile by being able to fulfil the commitment. Please be patient and know that we will look to contact the award winners just as soon as some normality returns to our world.
