As pre-season starts, we update fans on summer movements so far...

The Blues returned to training this weekend, so now offers us the perfect opportunity to update fans on all the Met news so far this summer...

Departing...

We had already announced that Robinson, Mazzone, and Beach had departed the club with 2/3 at new clubs. On top of this: Hippolyte, De St Croix, and Ferdinand have also decided to move on to new challenges. The club wishes to put on record our appreciation for all departing players, thank them for their time in blue, and wish them the best in the future.

Retained...

Now for some good news! The club are delighted to announce that Luke Robertson, Herson Alves, Louis Birch, Ollie Knight, Rudy Allen, Alex Fisher, Charlie Wickham, George Frith and Bernie Tanner have all been retained for the upcoming campaign. All these players played a huge role in our promotion push last year and will be looking to go one better. We are also thrilled to announce that Luke Robertson will replace Ollie Robinson as Club Captain.

New Signings...

The club are delighted to be able to welcome 3 new faces before pre-season. Tricky winger Richard Afrane-Kesey joins from Concord. Blues fans may remember Richard who appeared in a Blues shirt a handful of times last season, including a Man Of The Match display away at Dorchester.

Myles Bowman, a Goalkeeper also joins the club, after spending last season at some different clubs.

Finally, forward Tom Read joins the club from Step 5 side Balham. Read has an outstanding goalscoring record after netting 41 goals in 45 goals in the previous campaign. Tom also has experience playing out in the USA for Tennessee and Loughborough University.
