The hosts struck early: Levi Samuels found the top corner with an elegantly placed free-kick that left Hugo Sabte rooted to the spot. Yateley responded, however, and Ben Catt’s point-blank header ensured the sides went into the interval level.
The Met emerged transformed after the break, with their pace on the counter proving devastating. Odumosu restored the lead in the 55th minute with a sliding finish before calmly doubling his tally in a one-on-one situation. Jagger Chislett then raced onto a neat through ball to give the Met a three-goal cushion. Odumosu completed his hat-trick in the 77th minute with a finish almost identical to his second, before substitute David Mata rounded off the scoring four minutes later following another incisive counter-attack, capping a fine second-half display from Paul Burnell’s side.
