Dan Nash returns home to The Rotherfield
Joining Midhurst Football Club at the beginning of last season was the best decision I had ever made football wise. Leaving at the end of the season was by far the worst.
I had an offer in April from Hamble FC to go help develop their up and coming U23 side - a project that seemed like a good opportunity for me and one at the time, I couldn't really turn down. I quickly realised that I was wrong and the grass isn't always greener.
After spending 3 or 4 months at Hamble, I decided it wasn't for me and left the club early last week. It just so happened that Midhurst had also made changes and were again looking for a Reserve Team Manager. I spoke with the Chairman and quickly agreed to come back and take over with immediate effect.
We started off on Saturday with a 2-2 draw at home to Infinity, which had you offered me before the game, considering I'd not had a training session with the squad and hadn't seen 6 or 7 of the lads play before, I'd have snapped your arm off.
Mark and the club have done everything in their power to make the transition as smooth as possible and I can't wait to see what we can achieve as a club this season.
