Storrington 1 - 1 Midhurst

Midhurst began the game looking to continue to their run of good form and from the outset looked to take the game to Storrington.

Several early efforts from Hamilton, Norgate and Martin were all thwarted by the oppositions number 1.

The opening goal came after 20 minutes. A good tackle by Hunt who was arguably the stags man of the match, was soon followed by a delightful ball to Hamilton from Broughton. The forward jinked between two defenders and curled a beauty into the far corner. Hamilton with his 9th of the season continues a good goals run for the stags.

The remainder of the first half saw Storrington press for an equaliser and on the 35th minutes they obliged. A soft free kick was given on the half way line. A lofted ball into the box found Warner un marked. His effort was excellently saved by Cowell but the rebound fell the the unmarked Bryson to slot home.

A sucker punch for the stags.

The last bit of drama came on 45 minutes. Hamiltons free kick was saved by the Storeington keeper for it to be parried to Stevens. His first time effort at a gaping goal was somehow saved.

The second half was somewhat of a slower pace and both sides created no clear cut chances. Storrington had their half chances along with Kemplin and Hyde for Midhurst who could have won the game.

The stags face a tough visit of Langley Wonderers on Saturday 12th. Three points is very much needed for Berkowitz's men.
