The combined effects of new training regime over the last two months paid off handsomely with a 68–12 win.In the 4 quarters play Mistley won all and both 1st XV and Marauders players raised their game.
Players of note were Will Vine, this seasons pack leader ,Nick Graves ,past Captain and Freddie Barrett who improves with every game and was awarded Man of the Match.In addition Jamie Dove had an exceptional game watched by his wife and new baby son ,William. The younger players also shone in particular Elliot Hamilton and Jack Calvin wearing a Mistley shirt for the first time
Bertie Baxter,the coach was very happy with the teams performance and hope this will continue after a difficult and testing season last year.
In addition, it was confirmed that Mattie Course will be the 1st XV Captain with Ed Barrie as the Vice Captain.
This weekend Mistley are away to Haverhill in the 1st round of the Suffolk Plate with a 14.30 kickoff
