A much improved performance in Mid Wales wasn't quite enough to bring home some points but after recent displays, it's hoped that it showed the corner had been turned. Guilsfield won the game late on through a Matty Hughes own goal after a comical refereeing decision. Guilsfield had possession of the ball in the middle of the park and the ball was passed out wide to their winger who failed completely to control the ball and it went out for a Mold throw in.......or so everyone thought. The referee however, gave the throw in the other way and a long throw in duly landed in the Mold penalty box. Matty Hughes was the player unlucky enough to get his head to the ball, which glanced off and into the Mold net. A real sucker punch for the lads who had worked really hard all game. Attention now turns to the 4th March and the visit of local rivals Holywell Town to Alyn Park. Their is no scheduled fixture for the first team next saturday.
