Mold 2 registered their 6th win on the bounced and probably their best as they beat a very strong Llandudno side by 42 pts to 10 pts.
For the second week running it was acting skipper and prop Roger Sproston who opened the scoring with a try in the first 5 minutes. Adam Blunden converting.
Blunden then extended Mold’s lead with a penalty 5 minutes later before Tom ‘JJ’ Jenner went over for a try which Blunden again converted.
Llandudno then hit back with an unconverted try but Mold steadied the ship with another Blunden penalty.
In the final minutes of the half second row Rob Bithell powered over for a try converted by Nathan Jones to make it 27-5 at half time.
Very early in the second half Blunden landed his third penalty before Llandudno hit back with another unconverted try.
In the final 20 Tom ‘JJ’ Jenner went over for his second try and prop Steve Hedge round off the try scoring with a try converted by Nathan Jones.
There were some great team and individual performances by Mold with a debut performance at Flanker by Matt Thomas standing out..
