In light of yesterday's confirmation from the CCL and the FA our football season is drawn to a close.
For the league and FA, I can imagine that whatever decision they would of came to it would not suited everyone. We just all want to play football. However we are in the situation we are and we have to look after our clubs including players management supporters members friends and family.
I will say that for Molesey FC closing our doors last Friday was tough but the right thing to do. We are lucky to have social side but the financial implications of being closed will have a knock on effect both on and off the pitch. And like most clubs we are not without our struggles and the current situation will no doubt effect clubs at our level seriously.
Craig sent out a message to all his players today thanking you all for all your time and commitment. Myself the committee and all at Molesey also would like to thank you also for all you have achieved this season, we wish you all well and please keep safe at this time.
But we would also like to thank Craig, Browne, Crossy, Chalke and Dick for all their time and efforts. Being a manager of a club and managing a team is never easy, Craig is lucky to have a good team around him and we are lucky to have you to.
I would also like to personally thank all the Committee, Louise, Libby and bar staff who make match days possible. Without their help and continuing commitment to their roles on a match day I would struggle. Thank you so very much for all that you do and have done. keep well and see you on our return.
I have remarked to Mark recently that Molesey FC is like a 50p !! We don't quite roll and this because we have many sides to us but that just makes us what we are. From darts to pool to football to social.
So to continue with my thanks U23's Rob Dean, Eagle, Brian, Rob and Tomo thank you also for all your time you have also given to the lads and the club. It's been a difficult season and the league set up has not been the best and the weather has not been good to us.But you guys have not given up and you have done the best with the situation you have found yourself in. Thank you.
Vets it has been a real pleasure having you around more, at first team games and U23's. All your support for the club does not go unnoticed. A big thank you to Richard for his extra help this season.
We do hope to have a get together when things get back to normal. But while we are closed Mark,myself and Debbie are working on the new build and all that involves, Ross will be over seeing repairs and work at the club.
For me I'm missing the club and all that it brings me and like you all I'm worried about people I know and care for and even though we are all struggling with the changes that we are having to make, it's the right thing to do as I want to know all I love and care for is still there once we come through this.
