Monton come unstuck

AFC Monton hosted new boys AFC Burnley for this Manchester League Division two fixture and seemingly fell into the old trap of underestimating their opposition and eventually paid a heavy price as the visitors earned a deserved victory.
Despite having the lions share of possession in the first half the Ammies did not make it pay and after falling behind to an early goal from Burnley they settled well, equalised, took the lead and started to play with their usual confidence but rarely looked in goal scoring mood.
The second half however saw Burnley take control and they were the more committed, energetic and passionate side and well deserved their eventual three points.
Monton`s goalscorers were Jacob Ngoy and Adam Campbell.
